About World Ink Battle

An international platform where tattoo artists and studios share their process, test their craft, and connect through their work.

The work comes first

World Ink Battle brings the competition into the artist's own studio. Instead of creating a piece within a short convention schedule, participants have one full month to make a new tattoo and document its journey—from the first idea to the finished work.

The organizer pairs artists by style, skill, experience, and category. The aim is a balanced matchup where the work decides the outcome, whether it is one artist against another or two studios creating collaboration tattoos.

More than a verdict

Three category specialists review the same final photographs independently. Each chooses one piece, producing a clear 3:0 or 2:1 result, and gives constructive video feedback to both participants.

Every battle becomes an episode for YouTube and Instagram: the idea, preparation, tattooing, final work, judges' feedback, and winner. Artists and judges can speak in their native language, with English subtitles added to the episode.

Winning matters, but the project also creates space for inspiration, experience, professional feedback, and new connections across the international tattoo scene.
